ALL OF THE DOGS ON THIS PAGE HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS PLEASE CLICK HERE!

Josie

Josie, Female Shepherd mix, 8 months

Josie is an 8 month old sweetheart. She weighs about 30 pounds and should not grow too much more. She loves to romp and play in the snow but calms down when she comes in the house. She can spend hours entertaining herself with a bone or chew toy but will drop it to follow you around the house. She is submissive with other dogs and is friendly with everyone she meets. She walks well on a leash and already knows "sit". If you are looking for a smart, sweet, adorable dog, Josie is your girl. Josie was adopted on 12/13/03

Maggie

Maggie, Female Shepherd Mix

This lovely, older shepherd mix has found a wonderful home with lots of land where she'll be well taken care of. Maggie was adopted in December 2003!

Willow

Willow, Female Whippet Mix

This is a very sweet, lovely, people-focused dog. Willow is crate-trained and house-trained. She goes to the door when she wants to go out. She loves to entertain herself - will play with stuffed toys, pull toys, pushing them around and getting quite a bit of exercise in the process. She is very good in the crate but loves to be with whomever is home. She's fine with cats, too. Willow was adopted on 11/20/03!

Jackson

Jackson, Male Shepherd mix, 1 Year old

This one year old is 60 pounds of fun and love. Jackson’s a sweetheart. He gets along well with other dogs and just loves to be around people. He loves playing with people and dogs, but is more than content to curl up at your feet while you read or watch TV. Jackson went to his forever home in Boston's South End on 11/18/03!

Henry

Henry, Male Chihuahua mix, 1 year old

Henry the sweet 1 year old Chihuahua mix who was found on a busy street, terrified and lost, had many wonderful homes to choose from. Henry went to his forever home with a retired couple with huge hearts on 10/26/03. They have a large fenced-in yard for Henry to chase squirrels in to his hearts content. Henry is going to be spoiled and is one very lucky little dog.

Lady Camilla

Lady, Female Blue Heeler/Shepherd Mix

Lady, a very managable medium sized Blue Heeler/Shepherd mix was found wandering in a local town with a collar but no tags. At the end of her allotted 10 days in the pound and with all avenues to find her owners having been exhausted, Lady had to be "sprung" or she faced being put down. This very sweet, mature and quite obviously a previous pet to someone was worth saving. She loves people, gets along with most dogs and does very well with kids too. Lady loves to be petted and thrives on attention. She just enjoys being with someone whether it is going for a walk or just "hanging out". This girl is a great pet! Lady went to her "forever home" in Plymouth on 10/17/03!

Max

Maxwell, Male Jack Russell Terrier

Maxwell is between 3 and 4 years old, and he has personality plus! He loves to play tug and to play with stuffed toys, and he calms instantly when playtime is over. Maxwell gets along with other dogs, he loves people, is very calm in the house and is not a yappy dog. We have seen NO destructive behavior (chewing, digging, etc.). A very polite little boy who will slip under the gate if given the chance, so he needs to be walked on leash or given a secure fenced-in yard. Maxwell went to a home with two other Jack Russells on 10/19/03!

Mocha

Mocha, Male Rat Terrier mix

Mocha is a real sweetie who loves people and he kisses to show it! He is one and a half years old, weighs about 16 pounds, and his tail is docked. Very puppyish, learning to give other dogs some space. Found as a stray at the end of August, he came into foster care on Sept. 12. Mocha went home on Sunday, September 21st. He was bouncy, full of life and joyful to be with his new family!

Fred

Fred, Male Bloodhound , 4 years old

Fred is a neutered male 4 year old Bloodhound who has lived with 4 other dogs. He gets along great with them except at mealtime when he wants everyone's bowl. Fred pulls hard on the leash and, due to his size, could easily knock over a small child. He needs some obedience training, but he is a smart, friendly, and mellow fellow. True to his breed, he will follow his nose and needs leash walking and/or a fenced yard. He is a quiet dog, rides well in the car, and he's good with cats (has slept with a kitten). He is being surrendered due to hardship in the family and a landlord problem. Fred went home on 10/1/03 to a family with another Bloodhound!
