Our Primary Goals

Membership
Recognize that a sustainable dog rescue program cannot exist without the cooperation and efforts of volunteers.

    • All volunteers must be treated with respect, and encouraged to participate according to their interests and strengths.

    • Volunteer education and training should be ongoing to enable the sharing of tasks.

    • Volunteers in charge of identified tasks will be given autonomy to complete those tasks, within the context of any policies developed by the group as a whole.

    • Information and resources will be shared among interested volunteers.

    • Volunteers will be encouraged to reach out and work with other rescue and animal welfare organizations on behalf of All Dog Rescue.

Rescue
Prevent the euthanasia of any dog which can be matched with an appropriate home.

    • Develop foster homes for dogs entering our program. Accept adoptable dogs from any animal welfare organization or surrendering owner within the region.

    • Provide advice, training and instruction to owners of dogs with correctable behavior problems. Encourage owners to spay/neuter their dogs to prevent the need for a new placement.

    • Ensure our dogs receive superior health care prior to placement.

    • Evaluate the temperament of potential dogs coming into our program to ensure that appropriate matches can be made.

  • Ensure our dogs are spayed and neutered prior to placement.
Placement
Provide the best quality, most responsible home for each individual dog.

    • Ensure our dogs are in homes that will provide a safe environment with sufficient amounts of attention and interaction. Our dogs are members of the family, not just pets.

    • Our dogs will stay in foster care until we find a home that is a good match.

    • Each prospective applicant will be interviewed.

    • A home visit will be conducted before the adoption of our dogs.

  • Ongoing contact will be maintained with new homes to ensure permanent placement and to assist the dog and owners with adjusting to each other.
Community Resource
Provide support to any dog owner considering the surrender of a dog.

    • All Dog Rescue maintains a phone message so that we can be contacted with questions.

    • All calls will be returned within two days.

    • All Dog rescue is committed to helping owners keep their dogs. We provide support to any dog owner considering the surrender of a dog.

    • All Dog Rescue encourages owners to spay or neuter their dogs to prevent health problems and behavioural issues.

DONATE TO
ALL DOG RESCUE

Donations enable us to rescue more dogs, especially sick dogs who do not do well in shelter environments and who can often heal much faster in a foster home. All Dog Rescue needs your help to raise money to spay and neuter dogs this year.
